DIY Wooden & Metal Shelves

This weekend was the first in months that we had the weekend to spend at home (insert celebratory emoji here ** wahoo)! So we decided to tackle one of the items on our long to-do list – shelves for the kitchen! I originally was interested in using strips of cowhide and a wood plank like you see here, but decided that it wouldn’t go well in my all white kitchen & possibly wouldn’t hold as much weight as we wanted. I’ve developed a slight obsession with succulents this year. I’m not exactly sure why, but it could be from unsuccessfully starting a garden in the fall (my townhouse just doesn’t get enough sunlight!) or just the fact that some combination of succulents can look absolutely gorgeous and require very little attention to maintain. There are so many varieties of succulents and countless ways to display them. Below are a few that gave me inspiration on how to display mine. This,

It’s that time of year again! Love is in the air, stores are stocked with candy, and little kids hearts are pounding while they decide on which valentine card is p-e-r-f-e-c-t for their crush. I’ve never been the one to go ‘all-out’ on Valentine’s day but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy some great valentine themed crafts. I’m excited to grab only an appetizer and a dessert (we’re crazy! I know!) this valentine’s day since I don’t think I can

Over Christmas I snagged a Christmas printable online and replaced the leaves with some cute holiday cheer. Paint Dipped Chair Legs I bought a table on craigslist a few months ago. Just a simple white table that I knew I’d add my own creative touches to. I’m eventually going to re-cover the seats. For now though – just putting boots on chairs! This is a super simple craft and requires only a few materials. In fact, I had all of the materials around my house and didn’t have to spend any money – I love free crafts!
